December 2, 2015 - Comments

With the holidays and end of year fast approaching you may start to feel overwhelmed with all your to-dos. Don’t worry we’ve got your back! Whether it’s presents to buy, meals to cook or work to be done, a brand new Wunderlist for iPhone and iPad is here to help. With a new design that is simpler, more lightweight and intuitive than ever before, and some smart iOS 9 productivity-boosting features, you’ll be ticking off your to-dos well before last-minute panic strikes. Before we get into the details, let’s get you set up. Go ahead, hit that update button below.

Explore what's new

Now that you’ve updated to the new Wunderlist for iPhone and iPad, let’s walk you through the new design. Starting at the Home View, you’ll notice that you can see more of what you wanted, your lists! Yep, you asked and we listened – we reduced the amount of space that your profile picture took up to put your lists in the spotlight.

Now tap on a list. Here you will see first hand that it's even easier to view your to-dos at a glance—a theme that runs throughout our new design. You’ll also see it at work in the new Detail View, making adding Reminders, Subtasks and Notes even easier and faster.

A faster Quick Add, with 3D touch

With Wunderlist on the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, you can move from an idea to capturing a to-do as quickly as counting 1,2,3. When an idea strikes pull out your iPhone, unlock with Touch ID, press on the Wunderlist icon and “Add to-do”. If only completing all those to-dos was just as speedy.

Our new 3D Touch Quick Action puts you straight into Wunderlist’s Quick Add. From there you can use Smart Due Dates to schedule your to-do, and then choose the list it belongs in. But that’s not the only Quick Action we’ve added...

You can also use 3D Touch to get a quick glance of your most pressing to-dos under “Due Today”. With a snippet of a to-do, you can swiftly get to work on the task at hand. And if you want to check it off or just need a more detailed overview of your agenda, tap it and you’ll be be taken directly to your Today Smart List.

Reschedule to-dos and more, with Peek and Pop

Whether you quickly need to delay a few to-dos or check all the important details, we think you’ll really love using our new 3D Touch Peek and Pop on your iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Using it is as easy as pressing on a to-do.

First, you’ll get a Peek at the Detail View. From Reminders and Notes to Subtasks and Files, you can quickly get a glance at all the information you need and then lift your thumb or finger off the screen to go right back to your list. If you need to do more, like reply to a Comment or open a File, just press a little harder to Pop into the full Detail View.

As much as we all appreciate a well thought-out plan, delays happen. Now when you’re reviewing what’s left on your list, it’s easy to reschedule your to-dos with Peek. Simply press on a to-do, then swipe up. You’ll find three rescheduling options that you can tap on and then go straight back to your list.

With the new design and new features, getting stuff done this holiday season has never be so simple. Now you just need to find a turkey cooking app. Stay tuned for some additional new iOS9 features, including the iPad split view and improvements for iPad Pro. Got an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus?
